Our Community

Blue Vase Marketing is committed to supporting our community because our success is the community’s success.

It’s easy to make a buck. It’s a lot tougher to make a difference.      ~Tom Brokaw

SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL YOUTH

Beverly High School Scholarship Program

Our founder and managing member, Mike Alden, Esq. received all his primary education through the Beverly public school system. He credits much of his success to the strong leadership skills he began developing during his years at Beverly High School. To help others nurture their skills and further their education, Blue Vase has created an annual scholarship for students in financial need. Our first recipient is attending Endicott College seeking a degree in business.

Endicott College Internship Program

Blue Vase is a very proud sponsor of the Endicott College Internship Program. Like this fine North Shore institution, Blue Vase firmly believes that synergizing academic knowledge with a practical environment fosters an exponential result for the student and for our community

Internships for North Shore Natives

In addition to Blue Vase’s formal participation with Endicott College’s Internship Program, we seek out opportunities to help North Shore youth through internships whenever possible. In the summer of 2010, we were very fortunate to offer a future community leader an internship in our marketing and business development departments. Giuseppe is a lifelong North Shore resident, having graduated from Gloucester High School in 2007. He currently attends Saint Anslem College for Business Administration. Within the last six months we have also had an IT intern become part of our staff after his internship (he is native of the North Shore, now residing in Beverly).

SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL ECONOMY

Blue Vase Marketing has hired North Shore residents almost exclusively. Our recruiting remains focused on the North Shore so we can continue to help support our local economy.

We seek local vendors whenever possible:

  • All our marketing collateral is designed and printed on the North Shore.
  • We film our infomercials in a North Shore studio.
  • All our post-production work is done on the North Shore.

Spring Job Fair at Endicott College

Each spring Endicott College holds a job fair for their alumni. undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking for internship and full-time employment opportunities. Businesses and organizations in the Boston and North Shore area visit the campus for the day to interact and give the students a chance to network and speak directly with employers and recruiters. This job fair was an excellent networking source for the students, where they were able to connect and engage with various companies in one setting.

We at Blue Vase Marketing were honored to attend the Endicott Job Fair with dozens of other companies and ventures to support, recruit and act as a foundation of information for the ambitious and motivated students. As a steady growing company, we are always searching for hard working and qualified individuals to join our team. We were pleased to see how many students were interested in jumping on board with us. We prepared applications, job openings and internship opportunities for the students to get a good idea of what we were offering at the time and it opened a platform for discussion about our industry and how we run as a business every day. Not only did the students walk away with potential contacts but we also felt that it was a positive learning experience for us as well! We look forward to attending the next job fair.
