Blue Vase Employees Adopt-A-Family This Christmas

In December 2010, Blue Vase Marketing employees participated in The Adopt-A-Family Program which has been in existence for over 13 years and sponsored by Beverly Bootstraps Community Services, Inc. The program assists low-income families by providing Christmas gifts and clothing for their children during the holidays.

Beverly Bootstraps interviews each family individually, extracting information regarding their family situation along with a list of their children’s hobbies and interests. An “anonymous family profile” is created and used as a guideline to give donors a snapshot of the family and the families’ requests.

Blue Vase employee contributions made sure a local family with five young children had toys, games, and clothing under their Christmas tree. “It is heart-warming to know that even during these difficult economic times, our employees reached in their own pockets and gave of their own time to choose gifts for each of the children to ensure this family had a happy holiday,” said Michael Alden, Esq., President of Blue Vase, to the employees at their holiday luncheon on December 23.
